Labour MP as soon as tried to grope me, says Tory ex-minister Caroline Nokes

A former minister has revealed she was as soon as groped by a Labour MP.

Caroline Nokes stated the unnamed politician put his fingers on her ‘in a really inappropriate way’.

The Romsey MP likened Parliament to a ‘prep school’ and stated there ought to be extra feminine ministers in addition to MPs.

Miss Nokes, a former immigration minister, was interviewed by the previous dwelling secretary Amber Rudd for The House Magazine. 

She stated: ‘I remember a Labour MP who laid his hands on me in a really inappropriate way.

‘And I sort of went, “God, I thought it was better on your side. Apparently not”.’ 

Miss Rudd, who give up as an MP in 2019, stated male politicians stopped ‘mucking around with me’ after she had been a Cabinet minister however stated she would nonetheless hear ‘a really unpleasant sort of sexist conversation’ and ‘banter’ within the Commons tea room.
