Roundabout near miss that almost sees two drivers come to blows sparks heated debate as to who was in the wrong – so would you have given way?

Drivers have been left divided over who is to blame after a blue sedan narrowly avoided an SUV while turning at a roundabout.
The near miss unfolded along Government Road at Thornton, in Maitland, New South Wales.

The driver with the dashcam then follows the blue sedan as it pulls out of the roundabout.
The man from the blue sedan then steps out of his vehicle and confronts the driver behind him.
‘I didn’t go into the roundabout doing anymore than 40 kilometres an hour, which is the speed limit of the roundabout,’ the man says.
‘You cut someone off up there,’ the driver responds.
‘Bull****, she didn’t have to break,’ the man says before returning to his vehicle.
Footage of the incident has been uploaded online and has drawn mixed responses from drivers.
‘The blue car didn’t give way to his right on the roundabout,’ one person commented.
Another person said: ‘Give way to cars already on the roundabout, it is not give way to the right.’
Other social media users blamed the driver of the dashcam for getting involved.
‘IDK why the dash cam car tooted his horn cause he wasn’t even in the roundabout.’
