Utah authorities search for California mom, 38, who went missing six days ago during trip to Zion National Park
- Holly Suzanne Courtier, 38, has been missing of for six days, Utah officials said
- Courtier was last seen on October 6 when around 1.30pm as she was dropped off at the Zion National Park; her intended travel plan is still unknown
- Her daughter, Kailey Chambers, says her mom wasn’t on shuttle on the way back
- Chambers said her mom is an avid hiker who has visited Zion several times
Utah authorities are desperately searching for a mother who disappeared six days ago during a visit to Zion National Park.
Zion National Park Rangers along with Washington County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Holly Suzanne Courtier.
The 38-year-old was last seen on October 6 around 1.30pm police said.

In an Instagram post Sunday night, Courtier’s daughter, Kailey Chambers (pictured left, with her mother) wrote that rangers informed her that ‘unless they gather additional intel they will only be continuing their search for 1-2 more days’
‘She was possibly dropped off by a private shuttle bus at the Grotto parking area within Zion National Park,’ police said in a statement.
Authorities said that Courtier’s intended travel plan is still unknown.
In an Instagram post Sunday night, Courtier’s daughter, Kailey Chambers wrote: ‘They [police] have many search parties out looking for her. A lot of locals have gathered together to create extra search parties.
‘The rangers have informed me that unless they gather additional intel they will only be continuing their search for 1-2 more days.
‘It’s getting down to the final few days of survival without food. All the prayers we can get for her safe return and the safety of all those searching for her is greatly appreciated. I want to thank all of you for the kind messages, prayers, words or encouragement and all the reposts,’ the post reads.
Chambers, who spoke to her mother the Friday before her trip, told KTLA that Courtier never made it to the return shuttle at the park.

According to Chambers, her mother is an avid hiker who has visited Zion several times.
‘I know she would never give up on finding me and I’m not going to give up on finding her,’ Chambers said.
Courtier is described as being 5’3′ and 100 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.
She may possibly be wearing the following items: a pistil gray trucker hat, a Patagonia black nano puff Jacket, a dark tank top, Danner trail gray hiking boots, and an osprey blue multi-day pack.
Police also said the following items could possibly be with Courtier: a Kuhl cream open-front hoodie, a Rumpl Nanoloft puffy blanket, and a camouflage doublesize hammock.
