An alleged arms dealer and drug kingpin bonded with an undercover cop over his love of KFC in a series of texts before he was arrested.
Brisbane man Shane Ah-San had allegedly been communicating on messaging app Wickr with the undercover cop who went by the name of Joshua Su’a.
Ah-San allegedly offered to sell a rocket launcher before selling 10 high-powered guns worth $53,700 and 266 grams of ice worth $50,000.
He was arrested in September 2019 and spent two years in jail on remand before he was granted bail for $100,000 on September 28, 2021.

The fast food lover allegedly worked with his two brothers and organised meet-ups with Mr Su’a at McDonald’s, Brodies, KFC, Nandos and Guzman and Gomez.
Mr Su’a had slowly been gaining the confidences of Ah-San and his younger brother through a series of texts sent over Wickr, Courier Mail reported.
He pretended to be working in Townsville and claimed he wanted to buy the ice and guns so he could sell the products up north.
Mr Su’a used the nickname ‘Coconut Cowboy’ on the messaging app and bonded with the brothers over their love of fast food.
In one conversation, Mr Su’a messaged Ah-San’s brother who went by the name of ‘A**face’.
He invited the younger brother to an ‘actual feed’ at ‘KFC or maccas’.
‘I owe you a feed bro for saying that sugar s*** so come hungry uce,’ Cowboy Coconut wrote.
‘For sure would love to catch up properly and have a yarn uce no worries,’ A**face responds.
Mr Ah-San’s brothers allegedly grew closer to the undercover police officer and sent him ‘love heart emogis’ as he wished him a ‘safe trip back home’.
‘Safe trip ma uso give us a text when u get home so we knw you arrived safely (100 emoji)’, the message read.
In another message the brother allegedly texted well-wishes to Mr Su’a on Christmas in 2018.

Ah-San and his two brothers have been indicted on joint indictment and face 28 charges that includes supplying weapons and trafficking in the drug ice.
Mr Su’a made a lengthy affidavit that was filed in the bail application in court that reveal how the undercover police officer met Ah-San.
The document states Mr Su’a was placed into a holding cell with a friend of Mr Ah-San’s in a Logan watch house in 2018.
He was then introduced to Mr Ah-San before posing as someone interested in buying ice and guns.
Court documents allege Mr Ah-San spoke about his connections to the Comanchero bikie gang.
