A NASCAR sponsorship deal inspired by the anti-Joe Biden ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ chant has been rejected after the auto-racing circuit allegedly gave prior approval of the agreement.
According to Brandonbilt Motorsports, officials flip-flopped on the deal that would have seen team driver Brandon Brown racing a red-white-and-blue Chevy sponsored by cryptocurrency brand LGBcoin in NASCAR’s second-tier Xfinity Series.
‘Let’s Go Brandon’ became a euphemism for ‘f*** Joe Biden‘ after an on-air reporter mistook NASCAR fans’ profane chants against the President for a chorus of support for Brown following his first win on October 2 at Talladega.
NASCAR has not released a statement on the decision, but one source has confirmed to DailyMail.com that the agreement was officially rejected on Tuesday. The source added that Brandonbilt Motorsports was informed during an in-person meeting on November 5 that derogatory or vulgar euphemisms would be prohibited in any sponsorship deal.
But in a Brandonbilt Motorsports statement, spokesman Max Marcucci insisted the team had already received approval from NASCAR in a deal that was announced on December 30.

The phrase ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ doesn’t actually appear on the proposed car design, but the cryptocurrency company, LGMcoin, is prominently featured on all angles
‘NASCAR did not speak with Brandonbilt Motorsports prior to making their decision to rescind the approval and multiple attempts to set-up a conversation to address this matter went unacknowledged,’ Marcucci said in the statement provided to CNN.com.
‘The bottom line is that Brandonbilt Motorsports followed the standard process for sponsor and paint scheme approval and received approval from a NASCAR official empowered to make those decisions, and who makes those decisions on a regular basis. This official then confirmed and reiterated that we had received approval in a phone conversation after the announcement was made.
‘Like every team, we rely on productive and friendly working relationships at all levels of NASCAR. Unfortunately, NASCAR leadership’s handling of this situation now threatens to strain our relationships and places us in an incredibly awkward position, yet again.’
Brandonbilt Motorsports did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

NASCAR’s decision to reject the LGBcoin sponsorship deal was first reported by FOX Sports and The Athletic.
Brown was much lesser known before he unintentionally sparked the anti-Biden chant after NBC sports reporter Kelli Stavast confused the crowd jeering ‘f*** Joe Biden’ for ‘Let’s Go Brandon!’ at a NASCAR event in Alabama on October 2.
The driver has since catapulted himself – and the phrase – into stardom.
He spoke out in December about the effect the chant had on his career, saying he’s had a hard time finding sponsors and is now viewed as a ticking time bomb despite never expressing any of his own political views, beyond disclosing that he is a Republican.
Yet he now appears to have warmed to his unintentional notoriety. According to The Washington Post, a spokesman for Brown’s Fredericksburg-based team said on Sunday that the team had received written approval of the sponsorship from a NASCAR official on December 26.
‘We are proud to support Brandon this season, to help him continue his American dream,’ James Koutoulas, LGBcoin holder and founder of Typhoon Capital Management, said in a press release.
‘If we do our job right, when you think of us, and you hear, ‘Let’s Go Brandon,’ you’ll think and feel, ‘Let’s Go America,” he added.
After securing funding from a portfolio of crypto entities this past year, Brown – who is being referring to as ‘America’s Driver’ by the cryptocurrency – is now the first NASCAR driver to land multiple crypto deals.
