Confused drivers were left scrambling when a truck began rolling backwards into oncoming traffic.
Shocking dashcam footage of the incident shows the truck hurtling backwards near Greenhills, 119km west of Perth on Decemebr 27.
The truck driver, 62, had pulled over after realising he was having brake issue.
After he had gotten out of the truck to check the brakes it began to roll away into the highway traffic.

Confused drivers were left scrambling in all directions when a truck lost control of its brakes and began rolling backwards into oncoming traffic
The 62-year-old truck driver had pulled over when he realised he was having brake issue near Green Hills, 119km west of Perth
Desperate to catch the vehicle, the truck driver had tried to jump onto the side of the truck and enter the cab but fell off when it went over the middle-road island.
The truck continued on its backwards journey until it was stopped by a power pole and caused a small scrub fire.
As the driver fell a fair distance from the truck to the road, he was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The footage has left many shocked, with some saying the driver was lucky there wasn’t more damage.

‘Murphy’s Law – whatever can go wrong will go wrong. Lucky (the driver) get didn’t run over himself,’ one person said.
‘Kudos to the DC driver for backing up and re-positioning for a good shot,’ another person joked.
‘No one would blame him if he had to change his undies after that! Glad hes (sic) OK,’ another wrote.
